Slack Tide Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Clermont, New Jersey, near the Jersey Shore. The brewery was founded in 2015 by Jason and Tadhg Campbell, who were inspired by the laid-back lifestyle and natural beauty of the area. Their philosophy is simple. Create a diverse and high-quality line of beers made with all-natural ingredients sourced locally whenever possible. And, make Slack Tide Brewing Company a destination in Cape May County where locals feel at home and visitors look forward to returning.

The brewery's name, "slack tide," refers to the moment of calm that occurs when the tide is changing. This moment represents a perfect opportunity to relax and enjoy a cold beer, which is exactly what Slack Tide Brewing Company aims to provide.

Slack Tide Brewing Company offers a variety of craft beers, including IPAs, stouts, Belgians, and sour ales. As well as seasonal and limited-edition beers throughout the year.

The brewery's taproom is a cozy and welcoming space, with wood-paneled walls and rustic decor. Visitors can enjoy a pint or a flight of beers, as well as takeout beers, snacks and light bites from local food trucks nearby.

In addition to the taproom, Slack Tide Brewing Company also hosts special events throughout the year. Also offered is brewery tours and private event rentals for groups.

Overall, Slack Tide Brewing Company is a popular destination for craft beer enthusiasts and beach-goers alike. The commitment to quality and the laid-back vibe make this a beloved part of the Jersey Shore community.

Slack Tide Brewing opened in 2015 with a 27-gallon brewing system and a 6-barrel cellar. As we grew, we upgraded to a 3-barrel system and 18-barrel cellar space. Then, in September 2018 we began canning our beer. In April 2019, Slack Tide expanded to a 10 Barrel System with a 120-barrel cellar. In the Fall of 2020, we upgraded our canning line to increase the number of cans that are produced. Then in early 2021, we received several new tanks. This is the system that we run off of today! We have sent some of our beers to competitions and gratefully received several awards. Including a bronze from the GABF for Avalon Amber and a silver in the ACBF for Angry Osprey. See others on our Awards Page. In December of 2021, the brewery canned our One-Millionth can.

In early 2022 we began breaking ground on our new brewery site and opened the doors on June 30th 2023. We are now located on Route 9, less than a mile from our original location.

We have now expanded to a 20 barrel system with a 360-barrel cellar. In addition, we have a 3-barrel pilot system! Check out the Tasting Room tab for more information about your visit.
